Bamboo is an interesting story here at PM. The company was actually formed when our client Appriss Health merged with Patient Ping in 2021. After a period of business integration by the parties, a number of structural changes took place and one of those meant that our contract of five years wouldn’t be renewed. The new company went with a different web agency partner.
This happens sometimes in our business, when the client we’ve been working with for so long becomes successful, attractive to other companies, and a change in providers happens.

But as we’ve often said around here, sometimes things turn back around. We’d continued to stay in touch with the company’s new management team, a few of whom we still knew, and in 2023 we were grateful to be back on the job, managing the site they’d launched during our 2-year absence.

Bamboo’s now a perfect example of an ideal PM SLA (service level agreement) client. We didn’t design or build the site, and the client didn’t want us to – they really just wanted some help on their most immediate issues.

Doing what we always do in cases like this, we took their input, prioritized known hotspots, then went on offense together helping to make strategic improvements in areas like ADA/W3C/WCAG accessibility compliance.
As a leader in the human health market, Bamboo is completely in touch with the importance of web accessibility for users with disabilities. They also know that by complying with WCAG guidelines, they’re not offering a better experience just for users with disabilities, but for everyone.
We appreciate it when clients do the right thing not just for commercial or legal reasons, but because – like us – they actually care.
