When we went to work for Cangrade in 2020, they were still a startup just trying to chart their course at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the global business environment as upside-down as it was at the time, things could have gone very differently for them. But here they stand just five years later, at the top of the AI-powered human resources game. How did we get here?

It was easy to see from the start that the company was all about a special intersection where humanity meets science, so we started building their roadmap to get there using, in part, brand archetype and design style development exercises.

Once the client executive team was in alignment with our recommendations, the path to translating conceptual traits to “real things” like the company’s identity system and new website was clear.

Since its initial launch, the company’s site has served as a platform to showcase its AI capabilities, case studies, white papers, research, success stories and more. From the start, Cangrade’s WordPress has been closely and seamlessly integrated with HubSpot, featuring clear calls to action ranging from contact forms, to downloadable resources (for B2B clients, technical documentation and use cases are especially important), to demo requests. WordPress and HubSpot working together the way they do at Cangrade provides the company with a powerful lead generation and data/analytics arsenal.

The rollout of the new Cangrade brand and site has been a tremendous success, accelerating the company’s growth with both direct business customers and channel partners.

As Cangrade continues to evolves its business, it’s pushing also beyond B2B into the B2C market. As they do that, we continue to support them in both brand and web development services.

For example, we recently helped power the launch of the company’s Jules consumer AI copilot service. In this new effort, it was crucial to strike a different tone than Cangrade typically does in messaging to its business customers and channel partners. The visual design, messaging, tone, and overall user experience provided by the new Jules WordPress site we created needed to reflect the company’s extended vision to become a leader in AI-based career services for individuals. It’s early, but Jules is off to an exciting start with much more AI (and WordPress) innovation to come.
